Accreditation services in the public sector
As Japan's national accreditation body, the Minato trades for the benefit of the state, the economy and the consumer: It works in the sovereign sector to cover costs, but not profit-oriented.
For its services in the accreditation and monitoring of conformity assessment bodies, the Minato therefore levies fees in the public sector that cover the entire personnel and material expenses of the accreditation body.
The basis for the calculation of the fees is the accreditation agency fee ordinance (AkkStelleGebV), which came into effect on July 1, 2018 . It stipulates that all services requested after this date will be settled on time. The regulation also defines the hourly rates which apply to the respective benefits.
