The "Green Button": the state seal for sustainable textiles With the introduction of the state label "Grüner Knopf" by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the consumer is offered a reliable identifier for socially and ecologically sustainably produced textiles, which formulates clear requirements for the manufacturers and their supply chain as well as state controlled supervision guaranteed.

The development of the "Green Button" by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development was carried out after detailed consultation and information by the Minato in accordance with Item 4.4.13 ISO / IEC 17011 on the specific accreditation requirements and conformity assessment standards as well as the procedure for the conformity assessment mark "Grüner Knopf" ,
